Where I Found You by Betsy St. Amant kicks off a new series from Sunrise Publishing. Set in New Orleans, the story has a unique southern vibe that makes for a good deal of humor.

What I Liked About Where I Found You by Betsy St. Amant

This is a reunion story where the hero and heroine have a second chance at romance.  A favorite trope of mine because I adore the idea that a break-up doesn’t have to be the end. The story also involves a feud between the Heberts and Bergerons that is very Romeo and Juliet without the dying.

Noah Hebert is a likable character right from the start. His home life hasn’t been the greatest, which has jaded him, but his love for his grandfather is never in doubt and makes for many bittersweet moments in the story. Elisa Bergeron is a spunky gal with a heart of gold that readers will surely root for and like.

There was plenty of tension- and tender-filled moments between the main characters. Much of the tension had to do with other family members who had fueled the flames of the feud.

What You’ll Like About Where I Found You

If you like stories where two families are nursing an age-old grudge, you’ll enjoy this book. While Noah and Elisa start out in feud mode, the adversarial feelings fade, and the love story takes flight.

There is a puzzle to be solved that Noah’s grandfather set up before his death. The puzzle has a two-fold purpose that is ultimately revealed and serves as the catalyst that heals the division between the families.

Both characters have great change arcs that will keep you engaged as you follow their transformations.

Final Thoughts

Where I Found You has a nice faith thread that isn’t preachy or in your face. The romance is sweet but has enough sizzle to keep it interesting. The secondary characters have a few quirks that add humor. Also, be warned you may crave beignets while reading this novel. It’s a truly enjoyable story.
