Meet Me on Blueberry Hill by Lisa Jordan is one sweet book. This story is a great addition to the Jonathon Island series.
What I Liked About Meet Me on Blueberry Hill by Lisa Jordan
I’m a big fan of grumpy heroes, and Asher Quinn is definitely Mr. Grumpy. He’s carrying a lot of guilt over something he believes he caused. As a result, he’s shut himself off and just wants to be left alone.
Sadie Hudson is the complete opposite to Asher, and it doesn’t take long for her to start to crack through the wall Asher’s built around him. But Sadie has her own wounds that need healing. I liked Sadie’s spunk and her love for her grandmother.
I could empathize with both characters. Tragedy affected them and changed the course of their lives. It brought home how we can carry guilt when what we really need to do is surrender it to the Lord and let Him heal our brokenness. The transformation of Asher and Sadie is so well done.
What You’ll Like About Meet Me on Blueberry Hill
If you’ve read the previous books in this series, you will really like this story. Lisa Jordan has captured the feel of the island and brought these characters we’ve seen in previous stories to life.
The romance is tender, not steamy, and has all the feels you are looking for in a clean romance.
The faith message is there and not at all preachy. We all have things we deeply regret, but Jordan’s story shows us that if we trust in the Lord, He will bring the healing we need. One of the beautiful aspects of the story is how they both overcome to be stronger and better people.
Final Thoughts
This was the first book I’ve read by Lisa Jordan. I liked her writing and look forward to reading more stories by her in the future.
