Girl Lost by Kate Angelo

Girl Lost by Kate Angelo has a delicious creeptastic factor that, given the recent news articles, seems all too real, which maybe makes it more than scary.

What I Liked About Girl Lost by Kate Angelo

The problem the two main characters are facing begins when they witness the kidnapping of their mentor, Stryker. Luna Rosati, a former CIA agent, has returned to search for the daughter she gave up at birth. Stryker has the information she needs, but she must find him to get it. Special Agent Corbin King is her former love interest, who still carries a torch for her as well as a load of guilt about how he failed her years ago.

As Luna and Corbin embark on their search for Stryker, danger pursues them. Angelo created just the right amount of tension to keep me on the edge of my seat as the hero and heroine faced one obstacle after another. The deeper they dig, the creepier the story gets. Soon they’re not only searching for Stryker but they’re trying to discover why so many young girls are turning up dead.

Both characters have personal struggles to overcome, and how they deal with their past failures is believable and uplifting.

What You’ll Like About Girl Lost

If you like high tension and lots of action, this book will satisfy you. It’s a page-turner for sure. Once you start, it’s hard to put down.

The characters are well-developed and have a backstory that not only explains the decisions they make but also creates great sympathy for them in the reader.

Since Luna and Corbin were once in love, their romance seems realistic and not like insta-love. There is a faith element that is not in your face and fits the story perfectly.

Final Thoughts

This is the first in a series, and if the next two books are even close to this one, we’re in for many hours of reading pleasure.
