Last Chance Christmas from Sunrise Publishing is a three-novella collection by Lisa Philips, Michelle Aleckson, and Laura Conaway.

What I Liked About Last Chance Christmas from Sunrise Publishing

I enjoyed reading the stories of several of the Last Chance rescuers that have been a part of the series.

Rescue Justice by Lisa Phillips focuses on Izan Collins and Olivia Tazwell as they work together to find the despicable Alonzo Sosa. If you’ve read the series, you’ll be familiar with Sosa. Rescued Trust by Michelle Aleckson features Anthony Thomas and Della Nixon as they hunt for Jason Vaynes. Vaynes is a horrible man, and you are waiting the entire story to see him get justice. Rescued Hope by Laura Conaway highlights Cole Stuart and Kianna Russell. This duo tracks another terrible villain, Blair Mackey, and uncovers a traitor in the county government.

There’s lots of action and tense moments as the heroes and heroines battle not only an intense winter storm but also the fears they have about giving their hearts to another.

What You’ll Like About Last Chance Christmas

If you’ve read the series, you’ll enjoy getting to see the stories of the characters you’ve probably grown to love.

All the authors do a great job of building tension that will keep you entertained and turning the page.

There is a faith element in each novella, which shouldn’t surprise anyone since Sunrise Publishing offers Christian stories. The overarching theme of the collection is learning to rely on God and trusting Him no matter the situation.

Final Thoughts

All three novellas are solid, but I enjoyed Rescued Trust by Michelle Aleckson the most. Anthony Thomas was such a great character and initially so misunderstood.

The three convicts with ties to Last Chance set loose in a transport accident stretched the believability for me, but overall, the stories are worth the read.
