Hunting Justice by Sami A. Abrams and Lynette Eason is the latest installment in the Elite Guardians Savannah series. Abrams with mentor Eason has created a suspense-filled story that will keep you guessing until the end.
What I Liked About Hunting Justice by Sami A. Abrams
One thing I’ve noticed about this series is that the authors are exploring neurodivergence. In this particular book, the heroine, Noelle Burton, is a person with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Jonah Harris, the hero, is a person with Attention Deficit Disorder. I’ll give major kudos to the author for showing how neurodivergence doesn’t limit a person from achieving their career dreams.
I liked the characters and thought they had great chemistry. When the story begins, we learn Noelle and Jonah are friends, so the romance doesn’t feel like it’s insta-love. I know love at first sight does happen, but it’s not as common as many romantic suspense stories seem to portray.
Both characters have experienced trauma and much of the book deals with them overcoming the aftereffects. Their reactions seemed realistic and by the book’s end, readers know they are on the road to healing.
What You’ll Like About Hunting Justice
If you like suspense and action, you won’t be disappointed in this story. It starts with a bang, literally, and becomes a cat and mouse type story until the serial killer is finally caught.
Also, you’ll be fascinated by how the villain became a serial killer. Abrams included several scenes where we experience the killer’s point of view, which always adds a level of intrigue.
Final Thoughts
Hunting Justice is a Christian Romantic Suspense novel, so there is a faith element in the story. I read almost exclusively Christian fiction, so I’m looking for that in my books. Abrams makes the faith element believable and doesn’t come across as preachy.
