Meet Me on Lilac Lane by Andrea Christenson is a sweet novel full of tender moments that will melt your heart. The second full-length novel is part of the Jonathan Island series from Sunrise Publishing.
What You’ll Like About Meet Me on Lilac Lane by Andrea Christenson
This story deals with loss. Both Mia Jonathan Franklin, the heroine, and Cody Hart, the hero, are working through grief stemming from one fateful night when Mia lost her husband, and Cody lost a best friend.
Cody is the kind of guy every woman would want in her life and meets in every way the moniker “the island’s attraction.” He’s always loved Mia, but when she fell for someone else, he put his feelings aside. Right from the start, you want Cody to win the love of his life.
Cody believes he loses everything he loves. Mia believes she must handle every situation without relying on someone else or asking for help. Both characters have lessons to learn about trusting God when things go wrong. And for much of the story, the lingering question is: will their journey bring them together or tear them apart?
What You’ll Like About Meet Me on Lilac Lane
If you like hunky heroes and spunky heroines, you’ll enjoy Cody and Mia. They really are super characters that come to life on the pages. Mia’s kids are cute and their interaction with Cody will only make you love Cody more.
The novel is about overcoming when the odds seem stacked against you. It’s not necessarily an underdog story, but the hero and heroine must fight for the things they love. Mia has to meet a quota to keep the life she’s used to, while Cody must risk everything to get the business and the woman he wants.
The faith story is powerful and served as a reminder that when things seem too big for me, I can relax and trust God to fight for me.
Final Thoughts
I really am loving this series. If you’ve read Meet Me at the Grand, you’ll be familiar with the two main characters, and you’ll enjoy how Cody and Mia finally see each other for what they’ve always been—meant for one another. I recommend reading the stories in order to get the most out of them.
