Lisa wins ACFW Genesis Award for Romance
On August 26, 2023, Lisa won the American Christian Fiction Writer’s Genesis Award for Romance. The Genesis Contest offers unpublished Christian fiction authors feedback, direction, and discoverability. In her acceptance speech, Lisa acknowledged she could see God’s hand in everything that has happened so far in her writing career. “It’s too fantastic to be coincidence—the people God has placed in my life to help me, and the opportunities He’s given me over the last four years.”
The Deadly Shallows by Dani Pettrey
The Deadly Shallows by Dani Pettrey is the third book in the Coastal Guardians series. I really didn’t know what the Coast Guard did before reading the three books, but I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for this branch of military service. The Deadly Shadows focuses on Noah Rowley and Brooke Kessler and Caleb Eason and Austin Kelly. There are two mysteries the team is working on, and both are resolved by the end of the book.
