Lisa wins ACFW Genesis Award for Romance
On August 26, 2023, Lisa won the American Christian Fiction Writer’s Genesis Award for Romance. The Genesis Contest offers unpublished Christian fiction authors feedback, direction, and discoverability. In her acceptance speech, Lisa acknowledged she could see God’s hand in everything that has happened so far in her writing career. “It’s too fantastic to be coincidence—the people God has placed in my life to help me, and the opportunities He’s given me over the last four years.”
The Undercover Heiress of Brockton
The Undercover Heiress of Brockton by Kelly J. Goshorn is a delightful novel. I’m not a big historical romance reader, but Goshorn is a must-read author for me. What I Liked About The Undercover Heiress of Brockton Henrietta “Etta” Maxwell was a fantastic character. Her dual life as an heiress and the hard-hitting investigative reporter Henry Mason made for many entertaining moments in this book. I could feel for her, trying to live her dream when 1905 journalism was strictly a man’s world....
